CW11/WPIX's Emmy Award winning "CW11 Morning News" is pleased to announce the appointment of Tamsen Fadal as General Assignment Reporter. Fadal joins the news team on March 24th, reporting for the Morning News five days a week, covering breaking news as well as feature stories.
Fadal comes to WPIX from WCBS in New York where she served as a reporter for "CBS 2 News This Morning" for four years. An award-winning journalist, Fadal was awarded an Emmy in 2005 for her work as an Investigative Reporter at KYW-TV in Philadelphia, and a Broadcast Journalism Award in 2004 by the National Air Disaster Foundation [NADF] post 9/11, for contributions leading to improved aviation safety.
In her career, she has covered stories ranging from the Columbia shuttle crash and the London bombings to features on beauty trends, fashion and entertainment. In 2002, she traveled to Afghanistan with the American troops to report on the war. She also traveled to Air Force bases in London and Germany to report on local troops during Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to that, she reported for WPGH-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and WOWK-TV in Charleston, West Virginia and KYW-TV in Philadelphia. She began her broadcasting career as a morning drive anchor for WHNZ Radio in Tampa, Florida after graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.
Fadal resides in Manhattan with her husband, Matt Titus, a dating and relationship coach.
